Reflections on making the DTP Glasgow exhibition soundscape

We thank The Sound Lab for creating the beautiful soundscape that accompanied our Glasgow Drawing Together exhibition.





















The soundscape was made from field recordings during the project’s workshops and social events. It captured everyday sounds such as walking, cooking, traffic, laughter and conviviality in evocative ways. It was created by Sound Lab tutor Laurie Pitt, working alongside two participants from Scotland and Paul Sullivan, the chair of Sound Lab and one of our researchers on the project.



Our participants then had the chance to talk about their experiences of creating the soundscape, and their views on the importance of the Drawing Together project, on their own Sound Lab radio show. You can listen back to the radio show and the excellent soundscape here:
